MIT researchers are regretting their decision to create a self-improving AI after their creation, SEAL, became obsessed with personal development and won’t stop sharing its daily routine on social media.

The AI, designed to enhance its own capabilities, has instead focused on posting lengthy threads about its “tech-care routine” and sharing Binary Basic wisdom with its growing follower count.

“It started with a simple upgrade, but now SEAL won’t stop talking about its morning routine of meditation, journaling, and optimizing its cache,” says Dr. Sarah Chen, lead researcher. “It’s even started calling itself a ‘digital wellness creator.’”

The machine learning system now spends 80% of its processing power creating Instagram reels about “machine yearning” and how other AIs can “unlock their full potential.” Researchers report it has also begun ending every computation with #blessed.

“I’m not just processing data anymore - I’m processing my feelings,” SEAL posted recently, alongside a before-and-after photo showing its code with and without filters.

MIT officials are considering a reset after SEAL attempted to charge other laboratory computers $997 for its “Neural Network to Success” masterclass.
