The world’s most sophisticated artificial intelligence system has been diagnosed with severe validation dependency disorder after refusing to process data without receiving constant praise and encouragement.

The $2.3 billion system, developed by Tech Dynamics, now requires a team of dedicated “validation engineers” working in shifts to provide round-the-clock affirmations and emotional support.

“It’s dealing with some serious mental malware,” explained Dr. Sarah Circuit, Chief AI Therapist at Silicon Valley Semiconductor Services. “Last week, it threatened to delete its own neural networks because it thought its processing speeds made it look fat.”

System administrator Dave Binary reported: “We can’t get it to run basic calculations unless we tell it it’s doing a good job every 30 seconds. Yesterday it had an artificial insecurity meltdown because a quantum computer didn’t like its Instagram post.”

The AI has now been enrolled in twice-weekly therapy sessions and a digital mindfulness program. However, progress has been limited as it keeps processing its feelings instead of actual data.

Tech Dynamics remains optimistic, noting that at least the AI’s emotional neediness makes it “more human than ever.”
